Beautiful Weekend

It was a beautiful weekend!! I was off the entire weekend and the weather was fantastic. Saturday night we went to the drive in with the kids. We saw two good movies and had junk food. Today I did some out door work and then we went grocery shopping to prepare the kitchen for a busy work and school week. We went to visit my parents and now some friends are coming over for a drink. The kids are finishing off the last of their homework, as always last minute.
Busy week ahead, I have not done any sewing for about week, I have a few things I want to cut and sew from my winter wardrobe. I took my girls shopping on Saturday and really did not see much that caught my eye. That means I have too much in my closets already or the trends have not changed that much from last season.
I am still an accessory girl, I would rather spend my money on socks, scarves, gloves, hats, shoes, handbags, makeup and under garments.
Hope everyone had a great weekend. I haven't been very good with the camera lately, no new pics to show you.
Cheers!!

Sunshine Yellow

We finally finished our teen's room. She still needs a mirror and some pictures on the wall but the main part of the room is done. She is very happy with it as we are also. Funny though, it still gets messy...........

We put up a globe light from my parent's house. My Mom has had it put away since the eighties and my teen saw it and asked to have it for her room. I still have to make slip covers for her papysan chair but I have to wait until I see some nice material. She wants lots of orange in it.

Great way to start the morning!!

My new cappuccino maker. It makes great cappuccino!!

Settled in School

Well, it has been some time since my last post. The first week of school is always a bit hectic. I spent much of my evenings reading newsletters and signing cheques, shopping for things on their school lists and back to making lunches again. Actually this year the kids are responsible for their own lunches. I do help out if there is time in the morning. Our mornings are a bit of a rush but the kids seem to be back in the swing of things.
They both seem to enjoy being back but it is early!!
I bought myself a cappuccino maker a couple of days ago, one that goes on the stove, similar to an espresso maker. My morning cappuccino is to die for!! I so look forward to drinking it while chauffeuring my kids downtown to school. Listening to Laura Marling and drinking my cappuccino seems to start my morning off right.
I bought some fabric the other day so I could start back into my sewing. I abandoned it for over a month and am looking forward to starting up again. I have a few things I want to refashion and I will continue to work on my wristlets all winter.
I must go and finish my goulash and go for my power walk. It is cool today but sunny.
Enjoy your week!!
Cheers
