The Snow is Back!!

Good Morning All:

I hope you are all well. It is the final day of 2008. I wonder how everyone feels about that. I don't have too many thoughts about it. I would like to continue doing what I am doing in 2009 and make some improvements along the way.

Things I would like to improve on:

-go to the gym more regularly

-eat less junk food.....that will be very difficult....I eat well but I love chips and chocolate

-drink more water

-craft more

-work more

-cook more

-stress less about my house when it becomes messy and disorganized

-vacuum less

-do some more interior work

-less purse shopping

-.......list can go on and on. I only intended on making a few improvements..........I better stop or I will get depressed about all the things I should and shouldn't do.

The snow is back, it looked like spring the other day but it is December after all.

I hope everyone has a wonderful New Year's Eve night, be safe and happy.

See you in 2009!!

Cheers!!

One day before New Year's Eve

Today I will try on a few outfits for New Year's and see which looks best. Not sure if we are going casual or a little dressy. I will have to see how everyone else is going or I will just wear one of my knit dresses which can pass for dressy or casual. We plan on having dinner with friends and then going down to a local pub owned by one of our friends.

I am going to do some work for my Mom today and then I may go into work for a couple of hours. I have been off work since the 21st of Dec. It has been very nice. I may have to do some kid shuttling today and other than that it should be a fairly simple day.

I did do some cutting out of patterns last night and realized I should use my Christmas money on a new pair of scissors. The three pair I have are all frustrating. I have been using that roller but I miss using my scissors. Next week I will go and purchase a new pair when I venture to the fabric store. We live in walking distance to the mall and 3 grocery stores, many restaurants but there is no fabric shop close by. I have to drive across the city to get to all three fabric shops. I very rarely go so I have to make a list so I don't forget anything.

Have a wonderful day !!

Cheers

P.S. These pink slippers were an awesome Christmas gift!!

Beautiful Day

I had 6 twelve year old girls for a sleep over last night.....it was loud and tons of chitter chatter. I think they settled around 3 a.m. I did lots of sewing last night because I was without a TV, the girls were occupying our main TV and my husband was watching football on our small TV.
I am glad to be back doing some small sewing projects, I find it very relaxing. Today was a beautiful day for a walk. I wanted some fresh air so I decided to walk through the woods near our home. I saw 3 deer and many ducks, the snow has disappeared, hard to believe that last week we had a couple feet of snow following a major snow storm. It looked and smelled like Spring today.....wishful thinking I know......
New Year's Eve will be upon us soon, I usually don't make any resolutions, I try to make a few improvements and just maintain what I have achieved. Health and Happiness are the two things I would like us all to maintain.
Hope you can all get back to your crafting once the Holidays are behind us.
Cheers!!

Happy Holidays

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!! We had a very nice Christmas. Lots of work leading up to it and then it was over. I do enjoy the holidays between Christmas and New Years.

I am looking forward to getting back into my sewing room and sewing. I used it for my Christmas presents for the month of December. I was able to hide gifts and wrap them on my sewing tables. It is a multi purpose room.

I hope you all have a nice New Year's celebration and all the best for 2009!

Cheers
