Saturday morning....bright sunshine....heading to the lake for the weekend with friends.....I had a nice long walk this morning...always nice to get up before everyone and futz around the house....I had a very productive sewing week...a couple dresses and some flannel pj bottoms.....
My soul has been left a little sad this week...hopefully I can turn myself around from that.....

Rainy Thursday

It has been rainy and overcast much of the day....can't say I am too upset about the rain...the gardens and grass needed a good drink....one day without sun however has caused me to be a bit more tired...the sun has been shining for weeks now and you can really notice when it disappears for a day or two....
I had a nice lunch with some co workers....some of which have moved on to another hospital...it is always good to get together....
I have been working on flannel pj shorts...my daughter spends a lot of her waking hours in them .....I have extra material left over from some other projects......the pj shorts are simple to make and practical and the flannel is super soft and fluffy after coming out of the dryer.....
The kids are both at their jobs....and hubby will be on the golf course...a little R&R for me....

I'm back!!! Almost a year later....I have been keeping myself busy doing some sewing and getting back into my regular routine which somehow fell off the rails after the passing of my dear Mom almost 2 years ago....grieving is a force that takes over you......sometimes without you knowing what is going on.....
I am thoroughly enjoying my summer...the warmth and bright sun feels so good.....just kind of chill'in...enjoying the kiddos...which are 18 and 14 now.....still my kiddos...
My younger gal is going to Europe next week for 3 weeks with my in laws to visit their homeland Slovenia....it will be a wonderful experience for her.....
Coffee with a friend today and then my hair gets a root job...yippee.....
